The George in Christchurch is an interesting place for sightseeing. The hotel is very central, next to the large Botanical Garden city park. The staff were exceptional, from the receptionist to the chambermaids.

The location is marvelous, just 1 mile from Hagley Park. It's nestled in a lovely building close to the park and restaurants, the "go to" place in Christchurch. The room is fashionable, with an exceptionally comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom. The presence of an electric kettle and fridge is a nice touch.

Good sized room, functional with a view. Very central location, not too far away from a compact museum. Pretty close to the airport, 0.5 miles.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room had a fantastic view of the park and was equipped with excellent facilities. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The location was convenient, just a short walk to the nearest tram stop and museum. As a budget traveler, I found this hotel to be a great value for the price.
I felt incredibly cared for during my stay and honestly have nothing to complain about.

A good and comfortable city hotel. We had a big room on the top floor with a view over the parking lot into the park, good location to the city and sights. We would book it again on a stay in Christchurch.
